It seems like I'm always spotting I just recently left a question on here saying that I'm always spotting it seems like I have been spotting every month that I've been pregnant! It's light pink and it's not like a regular period it's not filling a pad but I don't know why I spot so much! I also spot after sex never alot but I'm really scared I would go to the hospital now but it's a ice storm outside and it's horrible out! I'm really scared and I don't want this to be a miscarriage or something I don't know what's going on. I know you can spot in the first trimester but is it supposed to be every month?
ok for one you need to calm down. stressing out isnt going to help the situation or the baby for that matter. stressing out could cause alot of stress on the baby. so take a deep breath, let it out. back to your question. hun you need to contact your doctor right away. granted there is an ice storm outside. but atleast talking to them on the phone you can give them your symptoms and what you are going through, and since they have been practicing medicine for a while... and prob have seen alot of women who have had the same condition as you... they can give you advice over the phone without you risking the drive. if you dont have an ob/gyn... call the hospital and speak to a registered nurse in the maturnity dept. even if the bleeding seems to have stopped. While it may turn out to be something minor, it could be a sign of a serious problem. You'll probably need an exam to make sure you and your baby are fine and to rule out any complications.
If you're actively bleeding or have severe pain of any kind and can't immediately reach your practitioner, head straight for the emergency room. It's not always possible to determine the cause of prenatal spotting or bleeding. Because the blood supply to your cervix and pelvis has increased, it's not unusual to notice spotting after a Pap smear, an internal exam, or sex. Some other culprits include:Spotting can also be caused by conditions unrelated to pregnancy. A vaginal infection (such as a yeast infection or bacterial vaginosis) or a sexually transmitted infection (such as trichomoniasis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, or herpes) can cause your cervix to become irritated or inflamed. An inflamed cervix is particularly prone to spotting after sex or a Pap smear. You may also spot or bleed after sex or a Pap smear if you have a cervical polyp (a benign growth
good luck to you
