Why are my toes spreading between the 2nd and 3rd toes?

I am 52, male, overweight, a truckdriver and i use the clutch hundreds of times or more a day. I have some pain in my left Foot under the toes in the ball of my left foot, which by the way is the only one that the toes are spreading on. Any one know why or where I can look to find out why
I think you answered your own question with the description you gave of your profession. Anytime you use any one part of your body over and over again you are likely to have "issues" with that part of the body.
