The right eye of My six year old son keeps turning red and going back to its natural color many times day. He does not complain of any itching, pain or loss of vision. This has been happening for the past 2-3 months.
We recently took him to an eye specialist who stained his eye and discovered white spots on the edge of the cornea. Though the Doctor has prescribed some Eye drops and says not to worry, we are quite worried. Can someone tell me what it could be and what needs to be done?
Thanks.
As someone else said, the Dr. is the only one who can answer your question, I would call the office and ask what his Diagnosis is.
It sounds like has some exposure/dry spots, like maybe the eye isn't closing all the way at night. If it's anything other than that, I would get a second opinion from either a pediatric ophthalmologist or a corneal specialist.
Best Wishes
