and the associated symptoms. Were you able to wear a bra before your operation or did wearing one aggreviate the hernia
I had keyhole surgery to fix my hiatus hernia in February last year. It was called a Laporoscopic Fundoplication. This involves making a cut in the upper abdomen, pushing the stomach back into the correct position and securing it there, and then repairing any gap of the diaphragm. I am completely over the moon that I went ahead with it as it has made such a difference for me. i can eat foods now that i couldn't before. I can sleep without waking up, feeling sick. I don't have to rely on taking tablets every day. I know that alot of people dimiss this op saying that it might not work but in my case it most definitely has worked and i would not change that for the world and would reccomend it to anyone. i put up with it for over 15 yrs and am so glad to wake up every morning now and not feel ill and in pain. I personally didn't find wearing or not wearing a bra made any difference. symptoms as far as i was concerned would be reflux, especially if you bent down for any reason, constant burning chest pain(heartburn), inability to eat anything acidic as this would aggravate the pain and sickness. General unwell feeling hard to describe.
