Hiya I am asking this question for my friends mum who recently had a chest x ray because she was having back/chest pain with shortness of breath. She has also been diagnosed with retrocardiac density consistant with a hiatus hernia (this is what the report said). We are puzzled as to what this is and what treatments if any she may need. She is 55 year old insulin dependant diabetic who suffers with hyper tension and is on medication to treat both of these conditions. Thanks for reading.
I have personally not heard of band atelectasis. It is called a hiatal hernia. The mother should ask her own questions to her doctor and you should mind your own business.
