About every 4-5 months, I get such unbearable cramps that I come very close to fainting, break out in cold sweats and chills, and cannot stand or sit up because of the intensity of the pain. Over the counter meds do not improve it and heating pads only provide mild comfort. Sometimes, they are even accompanied by a ringing sound in my ears and a loss of taste for a short period of time. Any suggestions for what these could be caused by and possible ways to treat them??
I suggest going to your Doctor as it sounds like Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID). You have all the classic symptoms.
Don't leave it too long, because the longer you wait the harder it is to treat. But it can be treated.
I had it for years before I did anything about it and my only option left was live with the pain, cramps, nausea, dirreah (sp), etc or have a hysterectomy.
Please see your Doctor to arrange some tests.
