My name is Danny living in Calgary, Alberta.
I'm currently grade 8.
I want to be a dentist later, but I don't know what average I should be getting. My average is 87 right now.
So here are my questions:
1) When I'm in high school, what is the least mark I have to get to go into the dental course in universities?
2) Is the mark I get in Jr. high important?
3) What do you think is the appropriate mark I should be getting right now?
4) What core subjects are the most important?

Study hard. Both US and Canadian dental schools require high grades. You should also develop hand skills such as carving. Use wood or chalk to carve. Dentistry requires hand skills as well as brains. You have an equal chance to go to school in either the US or Canada. If you can't get into a Canadian school , try a private US school. When you get to college, take a predental curriculum. Get good at math, physics, chemistry and biology. A B is the minimum to aim for. Jr high and high school is to prepare you with good study habits. Do as well as you can. College will be the decider. **** Luck
