Tooth pain/sensitivity months after filling?

Right now, my teeth are aching, even though three of my teeth on the left side were filled (white composite, if that makes any difference) in November. Whenever I drink or eat something hot or cold, I have this agonizing pain on that side. I usually try to direct hot or cold foods to the right side of my mouth, but it doesn't always work out. I can't even drink from school water fountains anymore. And now, my teeth are throbbing with pain for no reason. :(
Sensitivity can last anywhere from 24 hours to a few weeks. If you are having sensitive teeth months afterwards call your dentist, for now start using a toothpaste made for sensitive teeth. You may have recurring decay....
