I started using the gym facility at my college which has pretty much everything and i can reserve time to swin, run track , take dance classes etc (non- credit/academic). I want to know what specific activities and machines should I use that would help me with this? it's almost impossible to build muscle AND lose fat at the same time. You can lose fat and maintain muscle or you can lose fat and lose muscle...which if you don't mind being flabby, then you would want the third choice. Lifting weights will not make you build muscle as long as you are eating about 300 -500 calories under your maintenance calories.
