do birth control pills give u side affects or are they healthy??? im trying to use them to regulate my period so that me and my fiancee can get pregnant. Is this a good idea??? The "period" you get while on birth control isn't a true period. Therefore taking them inorder to make you more regular and then stopping them to get prognant is a waste of time. Have you discussed geting pregnant with your doctor? If you aren't getting your period properly, there are other meds out there (notably progesterone) that the doctor can give you for 5-10 days that will bring on your period.
