must have chemo, used his own bone marrow for a transplant; seemed to be doing well, except they failed to give him steroids after the treatments..........now he has Pneumonia or fluid in his lungs. Presently they are giving him steroids & oxygen. What can be done?
Steriods are an anti inflamatory, they will reduce the inflamation and allow them to drain the fluid build up from the lungs.
You may wan't to look for an informed second opionion at this point.
I would call the State Medical Board and ask for their first recommendation for someone who specializes in Leukemia.
I would then web search this doc.
