Is it normal to have swollen lymph nodes for five days w/flu? Swollen bad enough

Cant swallow solids just hot liquids. In pain. Any ideas anybody >

Went to Dr. a few days with 103 temp. aches, headache, vomitting. He said it was the flu, gave me Nausea medicine and a pain shot and sent me home with no work. Ear and throat looked normal he said. So i guess the lymph nodes is causing my severe sore throat and earache and my inability to swallow. Just dont know if i should go back to Dr. or sit it out.
swollen lymph glands are a sign of inflammation and there are ones located in your neck which may contribute to your ear ache and sore throat. If after a week you still feel ill go back to your drs. Also if you are still vomiting now go back sooner. Keep up with the fluids and try gargling with soluble paracetamol.
