I had an abnormal EKG which turned out after a second EKG and Echo to be nothing. When doing a stress test The doctor said there was something a bit abnormal but I shouldnt be worried he'd like to however have me come in for a chest X-Ray after some lab work. The Doctor says for people my age its most likely a false positive. If it wasn't a false positive what else could it be? And is it really necessary for me to go back if my EKG and Echo came back fine?
I always say better safe then sorry, but you have to pay and deal with it. You claim the doctor said people your age, if you are over 40 or have a family depending on you I would go the extra step and have it checked just for piece of mind. Ask about a cardio scan, from what I've heard and seen on TV are the latest and greatest in viewing Heart problems before they start. I had a check up after not seeing a doctor in 5 yrs. and they found cancer, So i am now a firm believer in prevention.
