I was diagnosed with Degenerative Disc Disease does anyone know about this?

I was diagnosed with DDD a couple of months ago. I've been reading about the disease on the web, and have not heard anyone mention pain, and poor circulation in their legs and feet. I also have Neck Pain and severe muscle spasms in my legs, neck and back. Has anyone experienced this. I am also taking Hydrocodone. I tried 800mg Motrin, Naproxen,and Baclofen none of these seem to work, only the Hydrocodone. I really don't want to get hung up on the pills. I am starting Physical Therapy next week, and would like to know if anyone has tried other meds besides these to ease the pain, and how good are they at relieving pain. Should I see a pain specialist. I don't want to turn into an addict, but the pain is unbearable.
i was crushed between 2 towmotors in 2001 , i suffer greatly with pain,in my lower back and legs, spasms are always predictable to me, some of the meds, i have taken are
oxy contin
codiene contin
flexeral
baclofen
cesamet
ibruprofen 600mg, etc,
and more,,,,,,, i find yoga , at my own pace , helps to releive a small bit of the spasms, i dont do much, and i dont overdue anything, my excercise is mostly just getting myself ready for the day,and on a good one, some housework,and grocery shopping, by the time i do one of the above , im in great muscle spasms, i head for a hot shower, and bit of stretches, and meds usually = bed, because most meds relax the brain, b4 the muscles
