I am 23 and recently had three children back to back. They range from 3 years to 4 months in age. My husband and I did this on purpose because we wanted three children but I personally didn't want to "tone" up three different times just to get pregnant again and have to do it all of again... Anyway, I recently joined a gym and have been working at loosing a few extra pounds I gained over the last 4 years (a total of 21 lbs to be exact). I am doing really really well with the weight loss, however not so well with the toning part. I am not familiar with the best exercises for the stomach area. Specifically my lower abdomen. Which exercises are the most effective for your stomach in regards to tightening and toning? I know crunches and sit ups are good, but the only seem to be working on my upper abdomen. I really need to get the lower abdomen into shape! Thanks!
Try Pilates. They are designed to strengthen and tone your core, and this includes upper and lower abdomen as well as your back and sides. You can even get a DVD and do them at home while the kids are napping.
