I am having one adrenal gland removed with a tumor and was wondering if anyone has had this type of surgery and how there life is now after the surgery, if they feel better and What I can expect
You didn't state the exact nature of your tumor but I can pretty much guarantee that you will feel better after surgery. Tumors in this gland cause a large number of very noticeable symptoms which should disappear completely after surgery. Hopefully, you may be able to have this handled through laparascopic surgery. If so, you should experience a pretty quick Recovery, returning to light normal duties within a week (including driving). You may need some ongoing Medication to compensate for what is lost through removal of the gland (same as people who have their thyroid removed need to take replacement thyroid supplement for life). Overall though, you should feel much better pretty quickly and lead a perfectly normal life. Good luck with your recovery and try not to worry. The procedures and treatment for this are well established.
