What do fiber pills (chew tablets) really do for you?
What about the weight management ones?
Has anyone tried either? What results did you hope for and encounter?
Too many people eat too little fiber. For the bowels to work properly, a lifelong daily intake of 25-30 grams, or about one ounce of dietary fiber daily, is required. Fibers help prevent constipation, lower cholesterol and can help with loosing weight because you will be less hungry.
Its better to try to eat more high fiber foods like whole-wheat pastas, whole grain breads, beans, fruit and green leafy vegetables but we all know that can be very hard in these modern times.
When you know you don't eat much high fiber food it's better to supplement with fiber. Take 5 grams 3 times daily with food. Drink more fluids. Water is what helps fiber work. Without it, insoluble fiber can block the digestive system
