Hey,
I have Fibromyalgia, and IBS is one of the symptoms. About a year ago I started changing the way I live. This is some of the changes that I made.
1.Started using really good Nutritional supplements.
2. Added a good fiber to my daily routine.
3. Cut out processed and fryed foods.
4. Eat more fruits and veg. everyday.
5. Changed from toxic chemical home cleaners to green.
6. Changed from toxic chemical beauty and personal products to safer ones.
7. Started walking 4 to 5 days a week.
8. Lost 40 pounds in this last year.
A little of what I found out, after many months of research, was that not all nutritional supplements are made equal. Even though I was taking several vitamins and supplements, I found that many over the counter do not really help us. By adding good fiber along with lots of fruits and veg. it really helped the IBS, making me feel better. Cutting out the processed foods, and fryed foods, is something I feel everyone should do for better health. I found out that one of the big things that effects Fibro is toxins. Toxins break down the immune system, which is one of the big things with Fibro.
When I first started walking, I could only walk a very few min., but I just kept at it, until I could walk between a mile and a mile and a half 4 or 5 times a week.
These life changes have given me back my life, I was in so much pain everyday, some days I could not even get out of bed.
Hope some of these suggestions help you too.
Annie
