Hi, im 20 and I recently went on a diet which basically consists of me cutting my calories intake in half. The goal is to drop 7-10 lbs. I weighed 164 lb when i started, im only a week in but have lost a pound already. I need about 2800 calories to maintain my weight, So i dropped that to 1500 calories a day or less. I ate a piece of bread the other day. Is that bad? It only has 80 calories, but 16 carbs and i know carbs are bad, because they provide no Nutritional value. I was still well under 1500 calories per day, but was it still ok to eat it? Should i cut it out completely like i did cheeses and candy? I work out about 4 times per week and the goal it to get the tight abs(there coming). I'm moving to Florida soon and want to look as good as possible. Also, If anyone has any Dieting tips, please share, they would be most appreciated!
Congratulations on your decision to lose weight. I would suggest you eat whole grain wheat bread, many people do not like wheat bread. If this is the case for you, you might consider buying a 1/2 calorie or "light bread". If you find eliminating bread from your diet too difficult, try limiting your intake to only on the days you work out. Also, keep in mind the earlier in the day you eat...the more hours you have to burn it off. So, maybe toast in the morning or a sandwich for lunch instead of bread at dinner time. The true key to Losing weight is consistency with work outs, caloric intake and at least 80 oz of water every single day....you are going to love Florida!! Remember this too....nothing taste as good as thin feels!! :)
