Diet Coke??????

I drink 2 to 3 diet coke per day.. My dad died of cancer and my mom had Lung Cancer... they were both smokers.. I grew up around 2nd hand smoke.... now My brother has cancer of esogophus... at 56 years old. I am 52... do you think if I quit diet coke it will help me not to get cancer? I never smoked.
Many of the people in my family have had cancer. To figure out my own risk, I spoke to My Doctor. I also went online and looked up "cancer studies" this will give you tons of information on all the different studies and what the "experts" think. What I found out on my own, is while doctors have ideas on What causes cancer, They aren't 100% sure. There are lots of people with lung cancer who never smoked and were not around people smoking. Cancer is somewhat of a mystery. My best advice would be to speak with a doctor, by going over your history they would be able to tell you what to do to lower your cancer risks. Because the facts are we are all at risk because we live on a polluted planet, some of us just have higher risks than others. Good luck
