Diet and nutrition question: fruit???

I am trying to lose some weight by Eating healthily and exercising about an hour each day. I eat a lot of fruit as part of my diet to compensate for the lack of vegetables (i'm really fussy)
but my boyfriend has told me that as fruit contains a great deal of sugars, that it will prevent Weight loss.

i've also been eating things like lots of lean meat, egg white omelettes for breakfast, cottage cheese etc. but will too much fruit stop me from losing the weight?

i'm trying to lose 20lb by late June.
Losing 20lbs and how 'easy' it will be, is relative to how much you weigh now...

You are making good food choices now... No one ever got fat by eating fruit... Take everything in moderation. 2-3 servings of fruit per day is great.

berries,melons, grapes,apples are best... bananas have a lot of sugar.
