Would you tell me what happened after your dad had a stroke? Did he survive? How did he change after if he did? How did it change your family?
ps- My dad had two strokes, he survived the first but not the second. I would like to hear other stories if you have them.

My Dad also had 2. Years ago that is. He did not survive his second one either. He had the first one at his home, and the second the same night in the Hospital. He never even regained conciousness. Mom passed away a year later. It was like she did not have any-reason to go on after being with my Dad for so-many years, and then he's gone, you know what I mean? They were both in their 70's when this happened, So they had lived fairly long-lives. 10 kids also! 3 of them are gone now as well from different things. I would say the biggest change it has had on my family, is we no-longer get together at "Mom and Dad's" like we used to for the hollidays, or for anything for that matter. The get-togethers now are when someone passes away sorry to say. I have tried so many times to bring us all together, But it never works. 2 or 3 may show up, and when they see the rest have not, they get angry and leave anyways, So i quit doing it all together, lol. now iJust Go with My wife and visit the family member I want to visit at the time. I still see all of them at least once a year. Not many come to my house anymore though. I might get 1 or 2 visits a year. Seem's like all of the "Togetherness" we used to share when Mom and Dad were here is gone forever. It can be hard getting old let me tell you, lol. Anyways, I hope this helped you in some way.
