Depression/anxiety medication?

i have had issues for several years now, & ive been able to deal with it on my own. i hate taking pills, but I dont know what else to do at this point. i dont like therapists or anything, so im willing to try Medication now. does anyone know of Depression and/or Anxiety meds that actually work. i know alot of ppl who complain that their meds dont even work. thanks.
Hi I take seraquil which is like a miracle been on for 2 weeks and basically different person only one episode since then compared to daily before i also sleep at nite. I take it with Prozac. The Prozac on its own was somewhat helpful as were similar medications lexapro,effexoe, and zoloft which i have taken before. My brother swears by Zoloft. Only side effect for me is upset Stomach and feeling crappy if i miss a few
The seraquil makes me sleepy but that is blessing cause i used to be up all night a lot. I also have but not needed much toprol when i start to get really riled calms me down
