Im wondering if I should do this I want to be in the health field but I heard that is a really hard program to get into to is that true? One guy told me it took him 5 years to get in.... huh? Then I thought of M.A. but lots of people told dont even waste your time!
If you are interested in dental Hygiene then go for it! I'm a current hygiene student and I LOVE it!
As for the difficulty getting into a program, that is fairly true. You have to take the same tests as nurses take to get into their program (the EXACT same test, so if you're in a toss up between nursing and hygiene, sign up for both so you only have to pay for the test once!) Also, the entrance results are based on a national percentile so you may be accepted in to one program and not the other (or both... I was). I chose hygiene because the starting pay is actually better, and you never have to work crappy hours or rotating shifts like nurses do. I hope this helped, and good luck!
