My 86 year old Grandma, started getting deep cracks on the corners of her fingers next to her nails. it doesnt look like Dry skin at all, looks like a deep paper cute. Any idea what is causing these?
As we get older our Skin loses its elasticity and virtually becomes paper thin. This means it can be very easily torn and It doesn't take much for this to happen. Keep the hands lotioned and have her wear gloves outdoors and also if cleaning/preparing food, have her wear plastic gloves to keep the moisture in. There is also a product called Skin MD Shielding lotion. It works differently in that it enhances the skins own hydrating and protective abilities, allowing the skin to protect itself.
Any idea , Dry skin , It doesn , Doesn , So i , Skin
