Could it just be a mild irritation?

I am a female - I noticed I was itching a little (down there) and I went and got a mirror and I noticed tiny little bumps and a bit of redness. There is no way its Herpes. Could it possibly be ingrown hair or razor burn? It's a very light itch, and I have shaved down there recently. I am Nervous.
Its most likely razor burn if your sure its not anything like herpes.
Is this the first time you've shaved down there?
Next time, try using methods which are said to prevent this:
Warm bath/shower softens the hair
Don't shave over area repeatedly
Always use a sharp blade
Use a gel or shaving foam, not dry shaving (shaving without any of these)
And shave the way the hair grows, not against it
