Could it have been a stroke?

My dad has PAD (Peripheral Artery Disease)..He is on Pletal, and has had a bypass reroute on the arteries..He is now nearly wheelchair bound..Last night he got up and said he couldnt see and said he didnt feel like he even had an eye..Could it have been a Stroke of some sort and he just didnt know it...??
