pls do help me! i want t close my gap but I don't have money yet! So i can't use Braces, veeners, etc. that's the only i can afford by now!
Placing a rubber band around the teeth wil cause the teeth to tip togeather, not slide togeather. The difference is important. For illistration: Imagine a book shelf half fuul of books. Push the books tightly to one side. Take the outermost book and tilt it at a 45 degree angle. That is what it would look like if you used a rubber band. The root of the tooth would ot move, only the edge of the tooth - causing a huge gap near the gumline where fod and bacteria will cause Gum Disease and eventually bone loss.
A better Solution would be to have bonding. It is a 4 to 5 year solution that costs around $200 per tooth. It is actually a huge white filling that will make the teeth large enough to fill the gap. They take up half the space with each filling. The teeth will look big, but there will not be a space. The downside of this is that the bonding can stain over time and will eventually need to be removed or replaced. If you do plan on braces in 3-5 years, this would be a good interum fix without destroying any natural healthy tooth.
