Began with muscle weakness, 04/2005. DX Myasthenia Gravis. Thymectomy showed hypervascular thymus but not hyperplastic, not consistent with MG. Six months later, began Losing weight. Total to date 25 lbs (123 to 98). Extreme fatigue and bone pain began a year ago. Hemoglobin began falling from 13.4 to 8.0 (thorough testing revealed no bleeding - includes colonoscopy and Endoscopy). IV Iron improved hemoglobin, but abnormalities still in CBC. Another test revealed "moderately decreased gamma globulin". CBC abnormalities include: WBC suspect flag - blasts; RBC definitive flags: anisocytosis, microcytosis, hypochromia, poikilocytosis. Newest CBC after IV iron shows normal hemoglobin (13.2) and hematocrit, but RBC's show same abnormalities. It also showed RBC suspect flags NRBC's. WBC suspect flags show Immature Grans/Bands1 and definitive flags neutrophilia (77.6%). WBC count has been normal around 5.1. Platelets once high at 409 in Oct. Small platelet definitive flag in Oct.
I'd be very concerned about your situation. You are very ill and need to get a second opinion. I recommend you see a hematologist as quickly as is feasible for you. An academic center would be ideal, but if that's not possible than any board certified hematologist should be adequate to help. Don't wait, get help.
