While having a couple of fillings replaced I was given an injection and it felt like the needle went through my EAR, I raised my hand for the dentist to stop and she said that I just have a lot of muscle back there. That night when the numbness wore off I was in so much pain and my face was swollen. The pain was in my ear, jaw and the side of my neck. I returned the following morning to see another dentist, I was told that perhaps the other dentist hit a nerve hub and that the pain should go away in a few days and I was given a perscription for pain killers. Well it's about 3 weeks since that happened and I still have pain in my ear and jaw. I went to the doctor and I was referred to an ENT specialist but my appointment isn't until next month. What happened and what's going on??? Who do I see about this problem?
I am very serious when I say you need to consult a lawyer. The dentist damaged nerves and tissue which may or may not partially or totally regenerate. If they don't, you are going to be like that the rest of your life. A lawyer can advise you on your next step. Call one today.
