Coughing non-stop...Help!!?

I have had the flu or a Cold [not sure which] since saturaday..But I've been coughing since the day before yesterday and it is NON-STOP! I didnt vomit from it but i certainly came close,i called My Doctor but i can only see him in 2 weeks... can you give me any suggestion at all...i cant sleep at night and i wake the entire house up...My mother gave me some Antibiotics [amoxiciline [in french, i dont know the name in english]]...I dont know if it's working or not...i jsut need Help, I honestly cannot take it anymore!
Drink a glass of cold water. Eat some watermelon if you can, the white parts can help relieve your racking cough. Don't take the amoxicillin on an empty Stomach, you will have side effects if you do, like stomach pains and Diarrhea.
