Okay So i've been having Nightmares, each one more abstract and getting scarier (more severe) and waking me up earlier than the previous one.
Like, the first time, that morning I woke up at 6:30am; whereas I usually get up at around 8-9am.
I have a mind-blank now...but the next time I remember, yesterday morning was at 4:30am.
This has pissed me off now, because I just woke up NOW; 1:30am here! And I only went to sleep at 10:30pm. I'd gotten up at 4:30am 'cause I couldn't sleep anymore btw and the morning or two before, at 6:30am 'cause after these nightmares, I Just can't get back to sleep.
But now it's just TOO early! 1:30am...I don't understand it?!
It might help to know I've been kind of anorexic too, before this started (severely restricting my diet, only Eating a Vegetable salad once a day, coffees + water) and losing at least 1kg a day...
now i know that a huge difference in eating has an impact on our thinking, but is this really the reason for ME?
Please doctors, answer!
One of the easiest causes of nightmares is lack of sleep. Or, to be more precise, lack of quality sleep. Severe Malnutrition can disrupt your circadian rhythms, and in this way disrupt sleep. You describe your nightmares as "abstract;" would you call them Night terrors? Night terrors can be a symptom of lack of REM (or dream) sleep).
First, try to regulate your diet. Make sure you stay hydrated. Do NOT use sleeping pills without seeing a Physician first. If you are underweight or malnourished, sleeping pills can do serious damage, including causing respiratory problems.
I would suggest seeing a physician for a physical, and perhaps a counselor for your Eating habits. It also would be a good idea to discuss the contents of your nightmares, and you may find that you are suffering from unreasonable stress.
Hope that helps.
