Coke zero?

i know that coke zero has no sugar but How does the alternative sweetener thing work?? how does it not affect your body? my mom is very doubty about the chemical thing and saids even though its no sugar the sweetener is still chemical and bad for your body. she also saids even chewing sugarfree gum is bad for your b ody because it has chemical stuff in it?? help? links would be good also
Coke Zero simply uses a lot of flavoring to make it taste good, Diet Coke uses artificial sweeteners.
Coke is bad for you regardless lol and everything is bad for you these days So i Wouldn't get too worried about it.
If there were significant health hazards from coke and chewing gum, they would be banned from the shelves.
