Hi, so. I'm 16 now, but I chipped my left front tooth like approx. 4-5 years ago. Of course I've been to the Dentist, during that time, but not to get my tooth fixed, just to get an "oral" check up.lol. Anyway, my question is that: If I go to the Dentist to get my tooth fixed, what would they do??? And about How long is the process? I just really want to know what they do to it...to make it normal again..lol. Thanks!
Its pretty easy to get a chipped tooth fixed. I chipped mine back in college and waited about a month to get it fixed. First of all, It doesn't take too long. They are going to "sand" it down, where they use that little tool that makes all the noise. It Shouldn't hurt at all, all you should feel is pressure. Then they are going to match your color to the color that they are going to apply. Then they apply the enamal, I'm not exactly sure what its made out of but it is hard like your tooth. They mold it to look like your tooth and then let it dry. I think they use the infared light thing- probably not spelled right! But then its all set! Mine was fixed about 4 years ago and I haven't had any problems with it since then. Just be careful and look for discoloration of your tooth, if you hit it hard you could have killed it- then you need a root canal and a crown- but you probably would have known that by now! Good luck!
How long is , pressure , It doesn , I haven , Shouldn , Thank
