Child has fever and been sleeping for 24 hrs?

We took our child into ER yesterday because she had high Fever, diarria, and was listless. They could only find ear Infection and sent her home with Antibiotics. She went to bed at 7pm last night and it is now 7pm next day, she has been sleeping 24hrs! I can get her up to drink water but she immediately goes back to sleep. Does her body just need the extra sleep to fight infection or is this not normal and need to take her back? She still has Fever.
You need to RUN that child back to the ER. She should not be sleeping for 24 hours!
