Cardiac function?

How long can a person live with an ejection fraction of 10%?
there is no real answer to this question. 10% is a very low value and the first answer that come to mind is; not very long.
but then you need to take that figure and put it in the proper context, that is tie it to a specific patient.
people have lived for years with an ej fraction of 10% if they are properly treated and do not have that much co-morbidities. ( other diseases as Renal failure and so on).
another thing about this 10% is that this figure changes from one time to another, sometimes withe no obvious reason and sometimes due to proper Medication.
good luck!
