I got a new pair of glasses but I dont think the prescription is correct - I wont be able to go back to the store for a few weeks, however I want to verify that my glasses match the written prescription I was given. Is there a way to verify this?
Some manufacturers put some of the lens power information on the lens itself (like add power on Varilux), but the way it is set into the frame is sometimes part of your prescription (i.e. axis for cylinder). To get a more accurate assessment of your glasses prescription, you should use a lensometer. Take it to any eyeglass shop (like a LensCrafters, not a Sunglass Hut) and they should have one there.
