Say you got your Wisdom Teeth pulled and you were prescribed Lortab a few months ago. Can you still use your own prescribed Medicine up until the expiration date for other things such as migranes? Is it possible to get in trouble for that since it's not the original purpose of the prescribed medicine?

You will be fine. As long as the meds are prescribed to you, and you are using them, there is no violation of the law.
In fact, you can use it after the expiration date without worry. Most medications simply lose potency after the expiration date.
