Can you crush MSM tablets and mix with epson salt for a good bath soak to ease muscle pain?

My husband likes to take MSM for muscle pain relief and it seems to have some benefit. We also have a nice jacuzzi for him to soak in after a hard day's work (construction) that I put muscle soaks in for him. I have found various products on the net with MSM in them... So i was just wondering if doing it this way would be of benefit. I'm not much of a chemist... so I need some input.
It would be a waste of MSM. I would use the tub for heat and try some epsom salt lotion and Massage it in for him and there is a nice roll on product with MSM in it. They are both at the reference below.
