I have an non-sever Ankle Sprain and have been in an air cast for two weeks. I can now stand on my fott and maybe able to walk. However, the Swelling once gone a few days ago is back and even though my injury was never black and blue it is becoming black and blue now. Can this be a sign of healing?
If you are increasing your activity level it is likely a sign that you are irritating tissues. I would monitor it and unless your physical symptoms take a turn for the worse, I Wouldn't worry about it. Maintain your anti-inflammatory use, keep icing, etc....
