This is something that is very rarely done. In fact, large teeth that are straight look beautiful! If your teeth look too large, you may just have too many teeth for the size of your jaws. This is a common Orthodontic problem. It is more likely that you may need some teeth removed and the rest of them straightened to align with the space that you have.
This is a very commonly done orthodontic technique for large teeth with small jaws. In fact, my own teeth were straightened that way, and that was 40 years ago! I have done Braces on my Children and they had the same problem, so they needed teeth out for everything to fit. They both have beautiful smiles now.
