hello all...i've just gotten Braces last week...the pain was bearable...not as painful as i expected...but i cant bite or chew food...even soft food..once the teeth touches the food...it hurts..is it normal...i thought the pain should be gone within a week? when tomorrow comes it will be 1 week...and i still have trouble Biting food...is it normal?
After about a week it should ease. I have them and everytime I go see him to get them tightened, for around 4 days I have to be very careful on what I eat. fruit I must chop into little peices, steaks are non existant and no more raw hard carrots.Can't wait to have them off and bite into a carrot. another 6 months for me. They aren't sore all the time, just recently after the dentist.
