I am sick of not having my license.
I am 16 years old and have had my license-holding privilege revoked due to mental illness. How do I get it back? I work, attend three separate schools, and compete actively with my horse.
How do I convince them to give it back?
I am 16 years old with bipolar type 2, and the decision was made Sept 9th this year, after a serious suicide attempt and discovery of several notebooks outlining use of a car as means of suicide.
My son too had his car taken away from him for months. (Four to be exact) and hes 21. I didnt think he would ever get it back because My husband said he wouldnt give it back to him until he started taking his meds again and as you know, he still hasnt taken them.
To make a long story short. He wore him down. Firstly, he decided to go back to college. College is four days a week. He has Friday off. So at first he had the car ONLY for school. Then when my husband saw that he was in "remission" and how inconvenient it was for him to drive him everywhere, it slowly wore him down. My husband had to drive him three hours away to run a marathon. He kept it up and wore him down by design not out of necessity.
Who drives you to school, the horse stable, and other places you need to go?
He would ask for rides to places he never went b4. He is very creative when he wants something.
I think they will give you the car back once your meds start to stabilize you more. How long has it been since you havent driven?
Just realize they are only doing that to keep you safe.
