just wondering, if they are diffenent then what the diffenence between them
No. Genital warts and genital herpes are two completely different viruses. They are both viral STDs, but they are caused by different viruses.
Genital herpes is caused by the herpes simplex virus. Herpes simplex virus also includes cold sores, chickenpox, shingles, and a few others. Genital herpes causes painful, itchy blisters on the penis, on the vulva, or inside the vagina. Blisters may also appear on the anus, buttocks, thighs, or scrotum, either alone or in clusters. The blisters can break and become shallow, painful, oozing sores.
Genital warts are cause by HPV (Human Papillomavirus). HPV also causes other kinds of warts including hand and feet warts and is responsible for certain kinds of cancer (mainly cervical cancer). Genital warts may be large, or they may be too small to be seen with the naked eye. They may appear individually or in groups. Warts may look like tiny bunches of cauliflower or like flat, white areas that are very difficult to see. They are very itchy, irritating, and can sometimes bleed.
Both viruses have NO cure. There is only treatment. There is no "cure" for HPV, although in most women the infection goes away on its own. A persons body can basically "fight off" the virus. This isn't always true for everyone though. Some people have the virus for life.
Personal experience. I have had BOTH viruses for almost 6 years. I have had genital warts and cervical cancer from my HPV.
