NO...HSV-1 is Herpes simplex virus, usually confined to mouth and lips with fever blisters, transmitted via oral/genital sex. HSV-2 is Genital Virus, with blisters/warts around anus, they break into soars in week after sex and can reoccur, 1 in 5 have Herpes, symptoms are Flu like, fever, swollen glands or even unnoticed (that's the problem). Diagnosed usually with visual inspection by Md, and swab set to lab or blood test for HSV antibodies. Problem: no curing treatment except for antivirals to help decrease virulance of virus.
HPV is yet another type of virus (HPV) which are sex transmitted, in men it shows itself as a "caulifolower" shpaed wart on genitalia. The warts are soft, pink and moist-flesh colored swelling with raised pimple like-cauliflower shape. Diagnosis is also by visual inspection. There is no HPV test for men only women via abnormal Pap smear. Only women have vaccine, not men! Hope this helped! :O)
