Aortic Stenosis?

I have been dianosed with severe arotic stenosis. I am scheduled for cauterization next month, to determine if corotid arteries are good.

I was told I will need an arota vale replacement.
As my income is from social security, I am terified of the cost and where to find the money. I understand medicare will pay 80% but that leaves 20 % to pay.
My main questions are: What is the cost of this operation?
If someone has under gone this type of sugery, How many days in the hospital, and quality of life after?
North Carolina is the most likley location for this operation. If any one could provide information from this area I would be greatful.
This is a very recent diagnosis.

Best bet is to call Medicare company or call the hospital. I had to have a surgery and they had a payment plan which was a relief.
