i got my Wisdom Teeth out yesterday, and i still cannot feel my tounge. Is this normal?
and my throat hurts sooo unbelievibly bad. Definatly more than where my teeth came out?
do you know why this is so?
are these normal recoveries?
i'm really scared please help!!
Extraction of a wisdom is a very invasive procedure. The denitst had to give you plenty of Anesthesia to make sure you were very numb. Depending on which side the extraction was done, it usually leads to loss of tongue sensation and in many cases altered taste.
Usually the anesthesia wears off in few hours after the treatment, but it's hard to say and know the exact details of your treatment without seeing your Patient chart.
IF you continue to have tasting problems, see your dentist again.
